Jokes aside, "Abroad" is very often used incorrectly in the English classroom. Let me show you some of the errors and corrections that I have had to make.
X: Since I was small, I've always wanted to go to abroad.
O: Since I was small, I've always wanted to go abroad.
X: I would like to continue my studies in abroad.
O: I would like to continue my studies abroad.
Can you find the mistakes? We don't usually use prepositions (to, in at etc.) with go/live/be abroad. The only preposition that we use with abroad is from: She came back from abroad and told use about her time there.
