Have you ever written a poem in school? Do you still do it now? Spring is a fantastic time for poetry.
Here's one that I wrote for you:
Awakening from winter's icy hold,
Nature's youthful promise begins to unfold.
Blossoms burst forth in vibrant bloom,
As light fills the world, dispelling gloom.
Birds sing sweet melodies in the trees,
Bees buzz busily, dancing on the breeze.
Green leaves unfurl, reaching for the sun,
A new season of growth has begun.
The air is filled with the scent of fresh grass,
As we bid farewell to winter's icy grasp.
Springtime, with its beauty and grace,
Renews our spirits and gives us a taste
Of the wonder and magic of life's eternal dance,
As we embrace the promise of each new chance.
So let us rejoice in the joys that spring brings,
And celebrate the beauty of all living things.
Or perhaps you like haiku? Shorter and sweeter...
Blossoms in the air
Nature wakes up from winter
Spring’s beauty unveiled
There are many forms of poetry out there in the world. Sonnets, haiku, and limericks. The list goes on and on. Which is your favorite form of poetry?
